Collaboration in the Community: Building with Heartland Habitat for Humanity

BASF and Great Northern Insulation teamed up to support affordable homeownership. Together they provided product and labour for two homes being built by Habitat for Humanity in London, Ontario.

Slab Jacking Installation with ELASTOPOR LF Polyurethane Foam

Elastopor LF series of polyurethane foam systems is designed for concrete lifting and leveling. The portfolio offers a variety of density options from 2 to 6 lb/ft3 and is suited for a variety of applications including residential, small slab lifting, DOT, highway work, and heavy-duty foundation repair. With the goal of promoting energy efficient buildings, WALLTITE® has been used to meet the stringent energy performance requirements for a number of projects:

WALLTITE University of Toronto (UofT)

Building tiny homes with a big impact.

The Woodstock Tiny Homes Community is an initiative that aims to help bridge the housing gap for those experiencing homelessness in Woodstock, Ontario. The initiative provides urgently needed transitional housing that is insulated and safe, providing life-saving shelter for those in need until they can find a more permanent home. WALLTITE spray foam insulation was installed in the homes to provide added warmth and energy efficiency.

Price Albert Case Study

Building healthy community housing in Prince Albert.

The Prince Albert (PA) Community Housing Society Inc’s mandate is to provide subsidized, affordable and transitional rental units for the Métis community. As part of their mandate, PA Housing Society constructed a 14 unit housing project. BASF’s HP+ Wall System – XR Series was selected to build efficient and affordable units.

WALLTITE University of Toronto (UofT)

Engineering students fortify library of invaluable works.

How many engineering students does it take to rework an aging insulation system? The question may sound like the setup to a joke, but in lieu of a punchline, there’s a happy ending. The story involves five students, one spray foam insulation product, and hundreds of thousands of rare books that were saved by the students’ inventive approach to a serious condensation problem.
